Fishing in the Gudenå River can sometimes cause headaches, where you can fish and how to find a place to buy a fishing licence.

Here we will try to give a little guidance on how to avoid getting into trouble with landowners and fishing associations.

We recommend that you only fish when staying overnight at a campsite or camping ground.
Tørring: Free fishing from the campsite area when staying overnight at the campsite
Eels: No fishing possible.
Åstedbro: No fishing possible.

Vestbirk Camping: Fishing licences for the lakes around the campsite can be purchased for DKK 40,- per day at the campsite information
Voervadsbro Teltplads: Free fishing from the campsite area when staying overnight
Klostermølle Campsite: Fishing licences can be purchased from the caretaker at Klostermølle if you stay overnight at the campsite. Price DKK 35,-
Gl. Rye Teltplads: Fishing licences can be purchased from the owner of Gl. Rye Teltplads, price for day licence DKK 100,-.
Holmens Camping: Fishing in Lake Mill Lake costs a day licence of DKK 100,-, which can be purchased at the information desk. It is also possible to fish in the put and take lake at very favourable prices. Enquire further at the information desk.
Skimminghøj Teltplads: Fishing licences can be purchased at the Tourist Office in Ry. Price for day licence DKK 100,- For fishing in Knudsø, day licences can be purchased at the tourist office for DKK 80,-.
Alling Vest Teltplads: Remember to buy the fishing licence in Ry (see above)
Skyttehusets Camping: Day passes can be purchased in the information centre for DKK 100,-.
Gudenåens Camping, Silkeborg: Day passes can be purchased in the information centre for DKK 100,-.
Silkeborg Sø-Camping: Day passes can be purchased in the information centre for DKK 100,-.
Sminge Teltplads: Remember to buy a fishing licence at Silkeborg Tourist Office or when you sail past Silkeborg Sø Camping. Price for day licence DKK 100,-
Trust Camping: Free fishing from the campsite area when staying overnight.
Ans Sø Teltplads: Fishing licence for Tange Sø is available at Statoil in Ans, Price DKK 60,-.
Bjerringbro Teltplads: Fishing licences can be purchased at the Q8 station, which is located just over the bridge and to the left. Price for day licence DKK 125,- Opening hours: 8 - 21.
Gudenådalens Camping: Free fishing from the campsite area when staying overnight.
Langå Camping: Free fishing from the campsite area when staying overnight.
